Create impact with interactive technology

Digital experiences come in all shapes and sizes. Of course, we like to highlight our impressive projects such as The House of AI, Worldline's experience center or the experience centre of HZ - University of Applied Sciences. Each of these are powerful projects where we allowed our creativity to run wild.

However, it is important to know that it does not always have to be so big. Even a limited investment can have a huge impact. The most important thing is to have a clear plan of action for your digital experience. In this blog post, we reveal how to handle this.

Define objectives and target groups

First of all, it is important to think about your objectives and your target audience. Consider the following questions: how should this multimedia make a difference? Who should be triggered by it?

A good digital experience makes an impact in one or more of these areas: to inform, to inspire, to educate, to stand out or to entertain. Every experience contains these aspects, although some emerge more strongly than others. Once it is clear what you want to achieve and with whom, we can move on to the next step: to choose the right technology.

Choose technology according to the objectives

Depending on the desired effect, you choose a particular technology. For example: you mainly want to inform visitors and make them learn something. You want to get inside their heads.

To show that even small investments have a lot of impact, we consciously choose simple but effective hardware for this purpose: a touchscreen. After all, it is important to be aware that you can create an interactive experience even with a touchscreen. But how exactly do you do that?

Time to fit technology into the room

As mentioned earlier, it is important to know beforehand who you want to reach with which messages. That's why we first brainstorm with you about the story you want to tell. Once this is clear, we can move on to choose technology.

In this example, we start from a touchscreen and make it interactive by using different add-ons. Do you add sensors? Do you work with lighting controls? Do you use objects to put on the screen? You can go as far as you like with this as long as it suits your objectives and your target audience. The most important thing is that the experience makes an impact for your customer or visitor.

Even with software, you can make a difference. That's precisely why we designed our own software platform Xperify, which allows you to control all devices, add content, create different scenarios, etc.

In Joris Ide's showroom, experience center of Beckton Dickinson and Ardo's head office, you can clearly see that the right extras make a major impact.

Conclusion:

Map out your target audience and goals before diving into technology. A touchscreen, combined wisely with the right software and add-ons, can turn into an interactive experience. Customers or visitors get actively involved, can explore on their own and as a result they remember the message better.

Whether for large-scale projects or smaller investments, the key lies in cleverly integrating technology to create an unforgettable experience.
